PLBS Student Council plays an essential role to bridge communication between student body and school administrations.   Operated solely by the students, PLBS Student Council members contribute their time and efforts to assist promoting school spirit and better citizenship, encouraging youth participation and involvement in community services for charitable causes, and providing opportunities for fellow students to develop leadership skills and nourish their inner compassion towards all living beings. 

PLBS Student Council Mission Statement (a summary)

  1. Serve as a liaison to establish understandings and close communication among student body, teachers and school administrations.
  2. Enhance student life at PLBS by volunteering to assist needed students academically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
  3. Promote school spirit, pride and a positive/friendly environment through encouraging and organizing meaningful, fun, and educational student activities.
  4. Nurture better citizenship by being of service to our local communities.
  5. Develop leadership and self-government skills through empowering Council members to propose and manage student activities and fundraising events.
  6. Work for and represent the general welfare, opinion, and interests of the PLBS students by providing a means for student expression.

Basic Structure of PLBS Student Council
PLBS Student Council is operated under the supervision of two groups – the Executive Board and Semi-Executive Committee.  

The Executive Board is consisted of Chairperson (President), Vice-Chairperson (Vice-President), Secretary and Treasurer.   The Semi-Executive Committee is consisted of 3 Student Advisors elected from 9th to 11th Graders.
