Religious Connection To follow its Buddhist path, PLBS also arranges schedules for students to participate many annual religious ceremonies as well as weekly group cultivation at Purple Lotus Temple (PLT) located in the City of San Bruno.  From time to time, the Founding Master of Purple Lotus Temple and Purple Lotus Buddhist School, Master Samantha Chou, is also invited to visit PLBS and educate students with her wisdom thoughts.  Through Master Samantha, students get to understand the countless charitable works and compassionate blessings that Master Samantha & Reverends of Purple Lotus Temple have been given to people around the world in relieving their sadness and helping them through difficult time in life. At PLBS, Students learn not only to use their religious power to pray for themselves but, most importantly, pray for the safety and peace of our community, our country, and the world.  Leading by Master Samantha and Resident Reverends, students embraced compassion and kindness when praying for victims of 911, SARs, Mad Cow Diseases, Katrina Hurricane, Asian Tsunami, Southern California Wildfire; and many worried hearts for War in Iraq and California Earthquake.  Students also initiated fundraising events in collecting donations for victims of 911, Katrina Hurricane, Asian Tsunami, and Southern California Wildfire.
