
At PLBS, students are taught how to develop inner harmony, strength of character and the sublimation of self in order to develop mindfulness and use this wonderful tool to overcome difficulties in life, help others, and make our world a better place.
Mind
Our students will develop a healthy and well-balanced persona encompassing the following areas of learning:
Verbal linguistics (reading, writing, speaking, mult-language, and communication skills);
Mathematical Reasoning (mathematical principles, technology, and problem
solving);
Science (nature science, earth science, physical science, and life science).
Visual Spatial ability (3D drawing, mind-mapping, and puzzle solving);
Fine Art (painting, acting, sculpting, and singing);
Interpersonal (gratitude, harmonious relationship with others, leadership, benevolence unselfishness, conflict resolution, assertiveness, and positive self-image);
Intrapersonal (self-esteem, introspective, positive thinking, and emotional intelligence); and

Body
Our students will learn the essential components of a healthy body and under-stand the internal chemical interactions. Areas of focus include the following:
Nutrition;
Bodily Kinesthetic (sports, yoga, Tai Chi, and dance );
Adequate, healthy and quality sleep;
Human physiology;
Adverse effects of illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco and pornography;
Stress/relaxation;
Addictive behaviors; and
Abuse of body (sleep deprivation, unbalanced /or unhealthy diet).

Spirit
Our students will develop their inner wisdom to (1) become strong, resourceful and mindful individuals, who are able to face reality, manage stressful situations and comfort others during and after dramatic events; and (2) find the path to
enlightenment. Areas of focus will include the following:
Engaging in spiritual exercises;
Understanding and applying the law of ethics and karma;
and Becoming patient, benevolent individuals who continually seek the
opportu-nity to benefit other sentient beings.
