All international students are required to obtain F-1 visa prior to admitting to study
at Purple Lotus School. PLBS was approved and certified by the U.S. Student and
Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
as the eligible school to issue I-20 since 2005.
Please carefully review the following Admission Requirement for International

Initial Evaluation
Each potential student should obtain a PLBS Enrollment Package and fill out the required document listed as follows in order to complete the initial admission requirements:
- $100 (U.S. Dollars) non-refundable Application Fee.
- Complete the Enrollment Form*.
- Submit copy of the original Birth Certificate with the country seal (This can be obtained through the country or country where your child was born.)
- Copy of current Passport.
- Personal Documents:
- Recent school progress report (this year and last year’s report cards).
- Two Letters of Recommendation from current or most recent teachers.
- Evidence of Financial Support (i.e. bank statements or tax returns for the last 3 years; or personal balance sheet certified by an accountant.)
- Completed the form of Questionnaire for Applicant*.
- for Grade 6 and up applicant: a 500 word essay* describing a past or future vacation.
- A personal interview and placement test may be arranged and conducted.
* Forms are available in PLBS Enrollment Packet. To download the forms online, move the cursor to the name of the form, right click the mouse
and select “Save Target as” to download.
As soon as receiving your application fee (US$100) and all the initial required documents, our Admission Office will evaluate your application and contact you once the enrollment is accepted.

Before Receiving the Form I-20
Upon acceptance, our Admission Office will notify and remind you to submit the following items to PLBS before the I-20 visa can be issued to you:
- Tuition Deposit: US$5,000.00.
- International Visa Processing Fee: US$350.00. (non-refundable)
Note: After I-20 is issued, if applicant fails to obtain entry into the United States, the $5,000.00 Tuition Deposit will be fully refunded.
After Obtaining the F-1 Student Visa
You are required to notify PLBS Admission Office as soon as the F-1 Student Visa is approved. Before starting school, all the following items need to be received by PLBS Admission Office:
- Full tuition (less the $5,000 deposit) and other Annual Service Fees must be paid before the first day of class, unless other arrangements are made in advance. For details, please download the Tuition & Service Fees.
- Complete and submit other forms provided in the Enrollment Packet.
- Immunization record that includes listing of vaccines received with months and years.
