Master Samantha Chou, is a dedicated Buddhist leader with extraordinary gifts and strong commitment to furthering the teachings of True Buddha Dharma Buddhist philosophy and principles of moral living to people around the world.  Through realizing the wish of establishing an integrated Buddhist education by True Buddha School Founder, Grand Master Lu, is truly to benefit our future generations, Master Samantha, despite limited funding and social support, founded Purple Lotus Buddhist School in 1997.

Master Samantha believes that increasing one’s knowledge and abilities to achieve a balanced mind, body, and spirit will contribute to bring peace and harmony to the world. “We want to create a dynamic program promotes mental, physical and spiritual excellence, while training children to make good moral choices that benefit other around them,” she said.

Master Samantha, during her more than two decades of practice, performed more than two thousand ceremonies around the world and continues tirelessly to teach and send blessings of prosperity and peace to all sentient beings.  Through sincerely implementing the Four Immeasurable Vows, which are: loving-kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity; Master Samantha prays that all beings enjoy perpetual happiness – the immeasurable vow of equanimity.  People around the world consider her a living Kuan Yin Bodhisattva.  Her religious and charitable activities reached throughout the United States and territories, and more than twenty-five countries including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Spain, United Kingdom, France, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Panama, Singapore, Brazil, Central America, etc.

Master Samantha is the Founder of four organizations based in the San Francisco Bay Area: Purple Lotus Temple, Purple Lotus Buddhist School, Mandala Arts & Crafts, and Mother Samantha Foundation.
